FAQ's
How can I tell if you are available?
On this page, click Calendar/Availability. If the day is blank, that day is available. If it says "Not Available", I am not available.
What vaccinations do you require? Do I have to show proof?
I require all pets in my care to be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella vaccinations. Yes, there is a section to upload pdfs/photos on the intake form.
Will my pet share space with any other animals?
No. I only take pets from one household at a time.
What do I need to bring when boarding?
For dog boarding, enough food for the duration of their stay. For cat boarding, enough food for the duration of their stay AND a litter box with litter.
How long can my pet stay?
The maximum your pet can stay is 14 days. However, I am flexible on this matter if there is reason they need to stay longer. Contact me, and we can discuss.
Will my pet be put in a crate all day?
Absolutely not! Your pet will have access to free roam all throughout my house.
What kind of activities can you provide?
Included in the cost of boarding, I provide free walks/runs, long times spent playing in my large fenced in yard, cuddles on the sofa, naps in my bed, and plenty of toys/balls to fetch and play with all day.
Can you accommodate pets with special needs?
Yes! I am very comfortable and have experience taking care of pets with special needs.
I don't have an emergency hospital, what do I write for that section on the form?
If you don't have a preference, I will take them to the nearest one. If it is a night emergency, the only 24 hour emergency vet hospital is Metropolitan Animal Hospital. I will contact you and let you know where we are going in case of emergency.
Do you have Insurance?
Yes! I have pet boarding insurance that covers up to $2,500 in potential vet bills, if your pet has a medical emergency.
Is your home clean?
Yes! I wash all bedding, couch covers, pet beds, toys, food/water bowls, etc. in between clients and also vacuum and mop the whole house.
How often will my pet have access to water? How often does it get changed out?
They have access 24/7 to water. I empty and refill with fresh water every morning (and sometimes at night too, if I notice it has gotten a little gross)
Can I book my pet for a one night stay to see if they like it? Can I set up a meet and greet?
Absolutely! This is a great idea for pets that get stressed out easily in new places or around strangers. Overnight stay will cost the boarding rate. A 30 minute meet and greet is free of charge, although when this happens will depend on my availability.
